Join Hadrat Sam Jaffe for this special event during the holy month of Ramadan where he will be sharing about three historical, beautiful sites in Istanbul. This event is to raise support and awareness for the families in Turkey that have been affected by the recent earthquakes. At the end of the call, after you’ve received the teachings from Sam, we will all come together from around the world in a group prayer. Two ways to donate to the affected communities and families will be provided as well for those whose hearts feel called.

During this event, we will explore:
- Hagia Sophia – a mosque and major cultural and historical site
- Mevlevi Museum – where they perform and guide you through the ceremony in real time
- The Blue Mosque – made of handmade tiles that give it a blue glow at night!
- A global prayer for all affected families and communities
- Ways to donate if you’d like to get involved in the relief efforts

About Your Teacher
Hadrat Sam Jaffe was raised in a Sufi zawiyya as a child. At the age of 17 he moved to Morocco to begin studying Islam and Arabic. He lived in Fez, Morocco for about 3.5 years. After he completed his bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies at the Markfield Institute in England, and completed his Master’s in Islamic Studies at the University of Chicago. There he specialized in medieval Andalusian (Spanish) Islamic mystical thought. Currently, he lives in Istanbul, Turkey where he continues his studies in religions, philosophies, and mysticism.
