1. Medical and helping professionals, including alternative, holistic, or integrative practitioners who want to heal their patients faster and more profoundly.

2. Spiritual seekers of all traditions and paths who want to begin or deepen their spirituality.

3. People wanting to find or improve loving relationships – of all types.

4. People seeking to heal themselves of a serious illness, emotional issues, or psychological traumas.

5. People dissatisfied with traditional religious (or spiritual) paths that seem extreme and who want to follow a compassionate and loving path.

About the Program

University of Sufism Year 1: A Yearlong Journey of Transformation

This 12-month program is designed to help you deepen your relationship with the Divine, expand your healing abilities, and awaken the sacred purpose within you. Whether you’re new to Sufi teachings, looking for healing, or looking to walk more fully in the light of love and unity, this course offers practical tools and spiritual guidance to support your growth.

What’s Included:
You’ll participate in three immersive, multi-day live sessions that build upon each other—each one helping you live more fully from your heart and align with your soul’s calling. You will also have access to two electives during the year. Between sessions, there will be additional offerings to help you integrate and apply what you’re learning into everyday life. Classes are by Zoom and we hope to add an onsite option in the near future.

Core Areas of Study Include:

Ethics – Explore your divine nature and learn how living in alignment with God and sacred principles brings peace, clarity, and joy. You’ll discover how mercy and love flow from understanding Divine law, and how refining your character opens the heart to light and goodness.

Spiritual Walking – Learn the Sufi roadmap for walking toward unity with the Divine, the Source of all love and healing. You’ll build a foundation of safety, peace, and presence, while gently releasing what no longer serves you. This path helps you return to your authentic self and embody the beautiful qualities of the Divine.

Healing – Deepen your understanding of the APIIRTB healing system and learn how to apply its first three steps with yourself and others, as well as how to integrate it with other healing modalities you provide as a practitioner or are receiving on your own healing journey. You’ll also explore ancient prophetic healing methods that bring spiritual insight and transformation to the healing process.

Service – As your heart opens and your divine purpose becomes more clear, you’ll be invited to serve in ways that uplift those around you, whether with loved ones, your clients, your community, or the world. Together, we’ll complete a group service project that reflects love in action.

Islamic and Sufi Studies – Experience the path of Divine oneness (Tasawwuf). Explore the lives and examples of the prophets and holy ones, who inspire and teach us. You’ll learn practices that nourish your soul and bring beauty, strength, and balance to your life.

Introduction to Sufi Spiritual Healing: What is it?

Sufi Spiritual Healing works to find and help heal the hidden spiritual, psychological, emotional, and energetic aspects of disease, suffering, and life challenges. This method of healing can be seamlessly integrated with allopathic and complementary healing modalities to create lasting transformation. It honors both the science of medicine and the wisdom of the soul. Dr. Jaffe, a physician, has merged his knowledge of conventional medicine with ancient Sufi spiritual healing techniques to provide a more complete system of care and compassion to those suffering from disease.

By transforming the inner, hidden dimension of illness we can often change the course of the outer manifestation of disease. This is done through directly accessing the light of God which then can help purify and transform these inner causes of illness.

This method of healing has helped heal physical and psychological diseases, which include advanced heart disease (atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure), cancer (breast, lung and others), pulmonary disease (asthma and COPD), thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s), infectious diseases (Lyme, etc.), depression and anxiety disorders, and many others. Your illness may also respond to this system of healing.

About the University of Sufism

The University of Sufism is a non-profit, religious organization that envisions a world where the flag of God’s love, peace, mercy, freedom, justice and beauty flies above every home.

The University’s teachings of spiritual healing and transformation are based on the teachings of Shadhiliyya Sufism as brought to our organization by Shaykh Muhammad Sa’id al-Jamal ar-Rafa’i ash-Shaduli, affectionately known to us as Sidi.

In 2005, the organization gained religious exemption status through the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. We have four colleges – Spiritual Ministry, Spiritual Healing, Global Leadership, and Islamic and Sufi Studies – that offer Masters degrees in:

Grounded in the teachings of Shadhiliyya Sufism, these degree programs help our students discover their personal missions and take the teachings out into the world, and in service to others.

The organization is formally known as The University of Sufism through the Religion of Unity in the Way of God – we call it The University of Sufism or UOS for short.

Our Vision

Our vision is to open the heart of humanity to the Reality of Divine Love, Gnostic understanding and complete healing.

The purpose of a UOS education is to establish the unity in the hearts of all our students. Our aim is to give each student the skills, knowledge and support necessary to embody the divine qualities of love, peace, compassion, strength, wisdom, generosity, holiness and many, many more.
The UOS faculty and staff are committed travelers on the Sufi path. Students from many different spiritual and religious traditions attend our University. Many students adopt the Sufi way formally during the course of their education, but this is not a requirement. Students commonly report that our training enhances, deepens and enriches their own personal spiritual practice and relationship to the Divine. Simply put, our goal is not to create more Sufis: our goal is to inspire people to travel in this holy journey of transformation, healing and loving service.
For students who do not want a masters degree at the outset; they are free to enter the program and take it step-by-step. If they eventually find that they want to complete the masters program, we will support them in that direction.

Meet Your Teacher

Dr. Ibrahim Jaffe

“Healthcare, today, is moving towards a more unified healing system, incorporating medical knowledge with spirituality, love, and compassion, allowing for an increased understanding and healing of diseases and their causes.”

Dr. Ibrahim Jaffe is a physician, Sufi Master Healer, and Spiritual Guide pioneering Spiritual Healing (SH) – the integration of western medicine and spiritual practice to heal disease and improve health and wellbeing.

He earned his medical degree as a general practice physician from the University of Illinois.

In addition to being recognized as a Master Healer and Teacher within the Sufi tradition, he has studied and traveled worldwide teaching Advanced Energy Healing, an etheric approach to diagnosis and healing of illness, including teaching at the United Nations and Harvard Divinity School.

His training also includes certification in electro-homeopathy according to Volls by Fuller Royal M.D., two and half years of study in classical homeopathy, and certification in healing through raw foods by both the Hippocrates Institute (under Anne Wigmore) and the Optimum Health Institute.

Dr. Jaffe is a prolific speaker who brings forth a message of hope, healing, peace, and oneness for people of all faiths through the tenets of Sufism and the understanding of spiritual healing. He speaks on many topics including Sufism, spirituality, and spiritual healing. He also speaks about healing the blocks to manifesting our inner brilliance and finding and developing true spiritual and loving relationships. His healing work has also led to deep understanding of how to heal conflict and bring peace. His goal is to provide spiritual healing and guidance for people seeking to heal or transform their lives, illnesses, or organizations.
